Muiccia Prada the iconic fashion designer, owner of the world famous designer shoes and handbags company, Prada, had appointed the Academy award-winning actress Kim Basinger, for modeling the spring and summer Mui Mui Collection of Prada. Madonna and Demi Moore who had worked for Prada earlier have lately been working for Versace. Kim who herself was a model of the top order before entering the film world, had been hired for modeling for the highly acclaimed fashion house. The shooting was completed in 2006 in Paris. Muiccia had chosen Kim because she already had past experience in modeling, her pictures adorned cover pages of fashion magazines on a number of occasions with much acclamation. She has an impeccable aesthetic sensuality, which is very rare amongst women who are involved in this profession.

Miuccia made the right choice to select her for Prado products, obviously Prada women’s shoes and Prada handbags were amongst the items that Kim wore for their market promotion. Mainly this was a campaign of fashion clothing of Prada. There was a special purpose for this campaign, Miuccia had aimed her products not only for teenagers, who were generally fashion models, rather she wanted to stress on the fact that Prada products were also for middle aged women and Kim being a mature women represented that age category of customers.
